TPACK: Teachers' Needs

چکیده

The advancement of technology develops a new framework in the education field, known as TPACK. It integrates theory pedagogy, content, and technology. Using mix method (qualitative-quantitative) research design, researchers’ goal was to know implementation TPACK designing lesson plans by English teachers. Furthermore, researchers decided use purposive sampling for each level (junior, senior, vocational schools) West Sumatera. To gain data, conducted document analysis, observation, questionnaires, interviews. After analyzing it found that teachers terms preparing lesson, result showed teachers’ pedagogical competence higher than technological content knowledge because they adopted from internet. However, regarding competent teaching learning process, seemed were more compared with pedagogy novice familiar using experienced Surprisingly, assessment, knowledge. not illustrate significantly since could understand develop material based on students’ needs. In conclusion, still below average understanding concept, implementation, so need workshop seminar improve their quality implementation.
